The RPS Difference
RPS has developed innovative commercial cleaning, remediation and odor elimination solutions specifically designed to safely and effectively clean schools, businesses, hospitals, hotels, airplanes and more. Products powered by RPS Technology™ have ZERO volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and are FREE from harsh chemicals, toxins and allergens.
Safer for People and the Environment
RPS Technology has received the EPA’s Design for the Environment (DfE) recognition for safer chemistry.
FAA-Approved
Products powered by RPS Technology™ have been approved as required by the FAA for use in private and commercial aircraft, after passing the Boeing D6-7127 Revision M: Cleaning Interiors of Commercial Transport Aircraft test in the Disinfectants Category. The products have also passed the Airbus and AMS tests for interior and exterior use. In addition, RPS products are non-corrosive, non-flammable and do not damage materials used in aircraft.
Food-Safe
Products powered by RPS Technology™ have been approved by NSF for use around food and food preparation areas.
The Air We Breathe
The EPA estimates we spend 90% of our time indoors – breathing in air that can be two to 10 times more hazardous than outdoor air. Every day, we are exposed to harmful toxins and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released by cleaning products in our schools, offices, hospitals, hotels and airplanes. Since most of today’s cleaning products contain hazardous chemicals, breathing inside can cause damage to our eyes, skin, liver, kidneys, nervous system, heart and respiratory tract.
RPS addresses these challenges with innovative technology that is better for people and the environment.
RPS Technology is being used in the following commercial cleaning products:
- Adhesive Remover
- Carpet Stain Remover
- Concrete & Parking Lot Cleaner
- Degreaser & Cleaner
- Drain Treatment
- Grout Cleaner
- Mold and Mildew – Deep Stain Remover
- Odor Eliminator
Unlike other products, cleaning products Powered by RPS Technology™:
- Have Zero VOCs
- Improve Indoor Air Quality
- Are FREE from Toxins & Harsh Chemicals
- Are Rapidly Biodegradable
- Are Hypo-Allergenic & FREE from Dyes and Perfumes
- Strip Away Harmful Toxins and Chemicals that can Build Up Over Time

Our Schools
Children inhale 50% more air per pound of body weight than adults, making them especially sensitive to air quality problems. Most children spend at least seven hours a day at school where they breathe in harsh chemicals, perfumes and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released by cleaning products.
The Environmental Working Group found that the traditional cleaning products used in American schools are exposing children to airborne contaminants and at least 11 compounds believed to cause cancer in humans.
Several high-profile brands were found to be particularly dangerous in the study. A well- known bathroom cleaner was found to contain seven known carcinogens. Even green-cleaning products marketed as safer alternatives were found to emit a significant number of air contaminants and known carcinogens.
Our Businesses
According to the World Health Organization, one out of every three workers may be working in an office that is making them sick. It’s what the EPA refers to as sick building syndrome, a condition caused from exposure to harsh chemicals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released into the air by cleaning products and other sources. These toxins build up over time, and can be especially harmful in buildings where there is little access to windows and ventilation is poor.
Symptoms attributed to sick building syndrome include headache, eye, nose or throat irritation, irritated skin, dizziness and nausea, impaired concentration, fatigue and sensitivity to odors.
RPS Technology improves Indoor Air Quality without the use of toxins, harsh chemicals or allergens and has ZERO VOCs.
Our Hospitals
Patients trust hospitals to make them better, not worse. Hospitals usually have poor Indoor Air Quality due to pesticides, cleaning and disinfecting products, and chemicals containing fragrances. For patients, with lowered immune, respiratory or neurological systems, indoor air pollution is a major health threat. Breathing toxic air can cause eye, nose, and throat irritation, headaches, loss of coordination, cancer, and liver, kidney and central nervous system damage.
By developing technologies that improve Indoor Air Quality, RPS offers a safe and effective cleaning solution for hospitals. Products powered by RPS Technology™ provide a powerful clean without the use of toxins, harsh chemicals, allergens or fragrances and have ZERO volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These products do not contain masking agents or fragrances.
Our Hotels and Airplanes
Most travelers worry about planes crashing and hotel bed bugs. What they don’t worry about is the air inside planes and hotel rooms. Confined spaces, such as hotel rooms and airplane cabins, can be especially toxic due to poor ventilation and the build up of pollutants in the air. Breathing inside an airplane cabin or a hotel room can expose you to toxins, harsh chemicals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released by most traditional cleaning products. This exposure can cause eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches, loss of coordination, fatigue, nausea and respiratory problems.
In addition, many of today’s cleaning products contain perfumes and fragrances. In confined spaces, these scents can be particularly harmful to people with asthma. An estimated 34.1 million Americans suffer from asthma; that is 34.1 million people who may experience migraines, nausea, tightening of the throat or respiratory impairment when breathing fragrances and other chemicals from cleaning products used in an airplane cabin or a hotel room.
Not only do these scented products irritate asthmatics, they also emit hazardous chemicals. A recent study led by the University of Washington discovered that 25 commonly used scented products emit an average of 17 chemicals each. Of the 133 different chemicals detected, nearly a quarter are classified as toxic or hazardous under at least one federal law, and more than a third of the products emitted at least one chemical classified as a probable carcinogen by the EPA.
In order to reduce the hazards of poor Indoor Air Quality in hotel rooms and airplane cabins, RPS Technology provides solutions that are proven effective without the use of toxins, harsh chemicals, allergens or fragrances and has ZERO VOCs.
